Dharma Classes at SMD

Writer's picture: NBF CanadaNBF Canada

Dharma classes are being offered at SMD School by Lopon Tenzin Rinchen. He is teaching Class 4 and up, every Tuesday, after tea time. The text is "Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva" - a 'lojong' (mind training) teaching that helps to cultivate mindfulness – constantly being present and aware allows us to help others and refrain from harm. The Buddha taught, “Tame your mind!”

Lopen Tenzin is teaching in all three languages (Tibetan, Nepali, and English), so that everyone can understand. He humbly asks the kids for feedback about their understanding, so he can tailor the teachings to their needs.
