We provide charitable tax receipts for all donations received in Canada

Namo Buddha Foundation (NBF) Canada is a fully volunteer-run, registered charitable organization (891225211RR0001). We receive donations from Canadian supporters to help fund Thrangu Rinpoche’s charitable projects in Nepal and India.


The projects provide excellent education, nutritious food, health services, and social support. We greatly appreciate your donations as the need for support is ongoing. See Student Sponsorship Options & Rates.


Make a secure online donation to the Namo Buddha Foundation Canada through CanadaHelps and receive a charitable tax receipt via email.

Please note: CanadaHelps takes a 3.75% commission on one time donations if you use this direct link (and 3.5% for monthly donations). However, if you arrive at the NBF CanadaHelps page through a Google search, then the commission charged is 4%.

Every year, around six senior students at SMD School have the opportunity to compete for scholarships at top independent schools abroad to finish grades 11 and 12. Your donated miles will allow them to travel to the school and back home to Nepal during holidays, to reconnect with their culture and community to share what they’ve learned.
