A note from Tsewang Diki:
Upon completing grade 10 in 2015 from Shree Mangal Dvip School, I volunteered at the school for over a year, primarily as Manager's Assistant and Director's Assistant, among other activities. I was awarded a scholarship to attend high school at Shawnigan Lake School (SLS), on Vancouver Island, so in 2016 I left for Canada. To continue my education after SLS, I have been fortunate enough to receive a full-ride scholarship to the University of British Columbia to study Bachelor of Science.
I am very blessed to receive so much support and love from these communities, sponsors, mentors, and donors, without whom I would not be where I am today. One of the many things I have learned throughout these journeys is the importance and power of giving back. I am forever grateful to my root Lama, Very Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, for giving me a chance to change my life positively. I am also incredibly thankful to all my sponsors and mentors.
When given a chance to help NBF with their Newsletter, I took the opportunity to give back, in some small way. I am delighted to be a part of a community that helps improve the lives of countless Himalayan Children in various sectors.
