My name is Tsering Youden Lama from Nepal. I am a SMD School graduate and am currently studying at United World College ISAK Japan. During this summer break, I am going back to Nepal to run several projects.
I am excited to share with you my project of collecting story books, novels, and educational books for the children of Nepal. As we all know, education is a fundamental right that every child deserves, regardless of where they live. Unfortunately, many children in Nepal do not have access to books, which severely limits their ability to learn and grow.
My project aims to change that by collecting books that can be shipped to Nepal and distributed to SMD School, SMD Branch School and Thrangu Tara Abbey. However, I need your support to make this project a reality. Shipping books to Nepal can be costly.
I estimate that I will need $3,000.00 CAD for the shipping cost and I am seeking donations to cover these expenses.
By supporting this project, you will be making a meaningful difference in the lives of Nepalese children. With access to books, they will have the opportunity to improve their literacy skills, expand their knowledge, and broaden their horizons.
