Kids Needing Sponsorship at SMD School
This year, SMD admitted 76 new students. Nursery to Grade 10 started classes at the end of April. The Grade 11s and 12s started in June. Among the new admissions are 26 new Day Scholar Grade 11s who joined us to finish 11 and 12.
Currently, Shree Mangal Dvip School has 90+ kids who are in need of sponsors. Here are some photos of some of the students, at different levels of their education, that need sponsorship.....
1) Kindergarten Students (L-R): Pranis Dong Lama (6 years old), Iran Lama (7 years old), and Sherap Palten Lama (7 Years old).
2) Grade 1 and 3 Students (L-R): Tenzing Dolma Lama (7 years old), Sonam Chhiring Sherpa, and Mingmar Ghyalmu Lama (10 years old).
3) Grade 11 Students(L-R): Chandra Gurung (18 years old), Ngima Puti Gurung (16 years old), Durga Gurung (17 years old), and Subita Gurung (18 years).

How to Help
You can directly sponsor a boarding or day student at SMD School, which means paying set fees on a yearly basis. The annual sponsorship rate for a boarding student is $1,320 CAD ( or $110 per month). The annual sponsorship rate for a day student is $575 CAD
(or $48 per month). The fees provide food, clothing, study materials, education and simple medical care.
If a full sponsorship is not within your budget, you may choose to do a partial sponsorship. We will match your chosen contribution with the partial payments of others until we cover the full amount. You may also decide to share a full sponsorship with other friends or family.
