Shedra Nuns

Before the beginning of yarne, the shedra nuns in Lumbini participated in a one-day academic conference at Lumbini University commemorating the Parinirvana of Gampopa (1079-1153 CE). Designed to provide comprehensive engagement with Gampopa's scholarly legacy and spiritual significance, presentations were given in English and Tibetan. Support was given by Tulku Damcho along with the donation of specialized texts on Gampopa by Thrangu nuns and monks.
